Rieger Park Project Update – March 1, 2024
While the warm fall, mild winter, and early-ish spring weather have certainly seemed out of place, they have been a great benefit to the Rieger Park project and we are moving quickly!
We wanted to share a little update on what has been done and what’s to come after meeting with our Architect and Contractor on February 29. The south end of the park is nearing completion and trees will be planted within the next few weeks.
The middle section of the park, including the butterfly garden, picnic shelter, restrooms, and water play area will remain the focus over the next two weeks.
A large portion of the middle area is concrete, so the pouring of that section will remain weather dependent. Once that area is complete, the crew will shift their focus to the north end of the park, the playground!
Over the next 2-4 weeks, park neighbors will notice the removal of the old chain-link fence to be replaced with the permanent ornamental 4’ fence. While it certainly does help bring us closer to being done, we’ve still got several weeks to go so please refrain from bypassing the fence.
Stay tuned to our social media and website for continued updates as we creep closer to finishing this project!
